Knowing Your Refuge and Strength

God is our strength

The source of our strength is the one Spirit, the Holy Spirit. When we depend upon Him, all things are possible.

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” – Philippians 4:13

It’s so easy to take God for granted. We forget that He is all-powerful and can do anything at any time. The Spirit of the Lord is our strength, and He gives us power beyond measure.

It was Jesus who said it’d be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone to enter into the kingdom of God without believing. (Luke 18:25)

Here’s How

It is only through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection on our behalf that we can come before God’s throne with confidence, saying, “Our debt of sin has been nailed to the cross with Christ; it no longer stands against us. Forgive us our sins, and free us from the punishment they deserve.” (Col. 2:14-15)

It’s not about what you can do for God; it’s about what He has done for you! The next time you feel like giving up, remember that your weakness becomes your strength with Christ.

When we feel weak, perhaps even defeated by life’s circumstances, it is in our best interest to turn to God.

Without His strength, we would fall. His strength is not a temporary fix to a problem or a quick solution to get us out of a bind, but it’s the source of our innermost being. If we allow God to control us and help us through life’s struggles, He will move mountains for us because that has been His promise, “I will never fail you, I will never abandon you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

When we feel weak and defeated, we allow our strength to define us.

Let us be strong in the Lord and His power! We must turn our eyes away from ourselves and unto God in order to be filled with His divine presence. What may seem like the end of the story is not the end at all, but a new beginning.

This article preaches that we must accept our weakness and turn to God when we feel this way.

Our source of strength is God, and we should not rely on our abilities. If we continue on with our own strength, we will fail, for it is only through God that we can succeed. We should not let our feelings of weakness define us, but always remember that God is with us.
