A Prayer For Front Line Workers

Father in the Name of Jesus we pray for the safety of our Front Line Workers.
You know each one by name and by nature
You know where they are in their personal lives and conviction
You, Father know their every need and fear

It is not easy Lord to be away from family and close relatives
Even as we wage this war against COVID
Jesus, we thank you for protecting them in the face of danger
Bless them Lord as they face various moments of uncertainty

Help them Lord to remain passionate as they deal with persons undergoing the points of challenge
We remember today Lord, that we should delight ourselves in you
Even as someone may be praying this same prayer for a loved one

We are blessed to have these persons take up the mantle
And Jesus – may their reward be great for their selfless acts
We know Lord that – Our greater days, Our best days, Our blessings are ahead
You are our provider and You Jesus our Comforter

We lift our eyes unto the hills, from where our help comes
Our help comes from You – Dear Lord, Who made heaven and earth
Even now we remind our front line workers that You Father are our help
Jesus, Even under these challenging circumstances
Cause some frontline worker to come to know You, as their Lord and Saviour

We thank you for our frontline workers, where ever they are now in the world
We thank you Lord for every race, class, colour and creed of our frontline workers
May this prayer be shared and also touch some frontline worker
It is now Lord that we cover them in prayer and share our love and ask for your Grace to cover them
Strengthen their faith in you, and that you bless their dream
Bless their own health, Mental health, Physical health and even Spiritually

Some of them may feel as if they have failed in their calling
Or, that they would quit – but Lord we pray for their tenacity
We pray that they do not give up when the battle gets tough
We thank you for giving them strength as a frontline worker

Have mercy on us Lord, Bless Us, and show the light of your contenance on us
Grant us your peace…
